I just wish River Song, the Doctor's "great love" had even the tiniest spark with him, instead of all the chemistry of... something witty I can't think of that doesn't have chemistry, or optionally a slightly snobbish reference to an old movie that nobody else watches.

I'm still pissed that River Song could have been played by Kate Winslet. I think that's why I'm not warming up to Alex Kingston.

Well, she DOES know his name. However, we don't know the circumstances in which The Doctor would tell her his name.

I think that part of the reason why The Doctor doesn't have much chemistry with her is because he knows she is willing to kill. Something which he's very uncomfortable with.
