Hot stuff for Daystrom

The Call Of Nature

Saint (what else!)
hi Day, since you're the chillie sauce specialist at TK, would you like to trade chillie seeds?

I have Cayenne and Chapeau de Frade (aka Monk's Hat, Friar's Hat or Bishop's Crown).
Both are officially listed as 30,000 - 50,000 scoville. However, my Cayenne is an Italian variety that is slightly hotter than the standard Cayenne. I estimate the fresh and fully ripe pods are about 65-75,000 scoville. I had no chance yet to dry them and see whether they become hotter or milder then.

I'm looking for Jalapeno and Annaheim seeds or any other mild variety. Especially sorts suitable for pickling would be very welcome.

Cayenne plants don't get tall: only a good foot high and about 8-10 inches wide. You can easily grow them on your balcony without anyone noticing and complaining. The Chapeau de Frade gets about 6-8 inches taller. Both can be pruned if necessary. If you keep them indoors you have to impollinate them manually.

This seed trading offer is open to everyone, of course :)
