Fevers also create weird hallucinations. I had one last Christmas where the universe was bending and disintegrating before me. I thought I was about to cease to exist when suddenly everything came back to normal and I found myself sitting up in bed with a desperate need to piss.
Most of the things I've "seen" were real physical things, which couldn't be explained away with drugs or sleep dep. Also, in a few instances there were other people there that saw the same thing I did. For example:
My former girlfriend and I were in my apartment when we both saw one of my boots levitate into the air, and go flying across ther room to hit my computer monitor. We both saw it, and the boot was actually on the other side of the room.
It's not a question of belief if you KNOW something exists.
Is it true that if a ghost tries to drink something, it'll go straight through them and splash on the floor? That's what Bill Cosby told us in Ghost Dad (yes, I did see it. I blame the babysitter, as I was a little kid at the time).
