So, what's your favorite Tom Waits album? I've been geting to know Bone Machine lately, never owned it until recently.
 
Funny you should mention... I found a copy of Big Time on VHS in a Salvation Army for two bucks a couple weeks ago. Hmm, Rain Dogs is pretty hard to beat IMO...

That's funnny -- just today, I watched a youtube clip from Big Time. I was googling looking to see if there was any backstory to that song "shore Leave" from Swordfishtrombones and found i.

I think Shore Leave is an incredible piece of songwriting. Lonely, haunted, filled with yearning. Working the letter into the chorus is brilliant.

Musical. The songs Waits wrote for it are compiled on the album "Blood Money." Some of them are awesome.
