And Here's another definition of the word. (Please link the place where you got yours BTW)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theory
As I said, the word can also mean a speculation or an opinion. and is required to be consistent with true descriptions of reality.

when i meant to say:
"As I said, the word can also mean a speculation or an opinion. and is not required to be consistent with true descriptions of reality..."
The Question said:Except that your "theory" doesn't explain any phenomenon not already explained by preexisting theory.
The Question said:Sorry, now you're just blathering like a pothead. You're interpreting the word theory beyond any bound of its definition. You might as well use the word 'theory' interchangeably with the word 'banana' if you really believe what you're saying there.
A theory is a proposed explanation based on an observed phenomenon or phenomena, from which predictions can be made about the phenomena in question.
A theory arises from observation, not the other way around, and Parsimony so far conclusively eliminates this "computer simulation" proposal unless or until you find something that can only be explained by the proposal. Without it, the proposal is both unsupportable and an unnecessary superfluity.
