I always hated the singing in the Gene Wilder Willy Wonka

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
I DON'T WANT CHARLIE TO CHEER UP.

Blasphemy!

While I found the Umpa Lumpas amusung, I was never a huge fan of the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory movies.

Nor was I into the singing. Then again, were not women or gay men, so that makes sense if you think about it.

As a straight man I liked the singing in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.

Yeah, except 'Cheer up Charlie'. That one was bad.

Exception to the rule I guess.

Indeed. I don't even remember that song being in the movie.

That's because it was after "Candy Man," but still pre-factory visit. It's the point where the kids in the theater were getting restless.

I love the movie just as it is SO THERE.

I didn't even remember it being on the soundtrack. Listening to it now. Not that bad.

As a young boy I don't want to hear a mother singing about loving her son. THAT DOESN'T APPEAL TO CHILDREN.
