Porn is best used without sound. However if you merely want to watch it for family friendly entertainment, then sound can be amusing.

I bought all of the Prime Suspects on DVD, and none of them come with closed captioning or subtitles of any kind.

Sometimes i like the subtitle option, but only if it's one of those films where the audio can be very low & then scale up SUPER high in parts...sometimes it's hard to watch dvd's at a constant audio level and hear all the dialogue. VHS wasn't like this, i remember when i frist started converting to dvd, that's the first thing i noticed with the audio.
