I don't enjoy movies like 'King Kong'

Okay. I read your first paragraph, and I'll come back and read the rest after I've had a chance to see the film.

However, given my success rate at actually getting to the movies, that may be when it comes out on DVD.

I finally saw Jackson's King Kong on a plane to Japan, and I LOVED it! Put me right to sleep!

Honestly, it was just as LG said originally, over-hyped, overblown, and wayyyy overlong. It did put me to sleep.

Who wouldn't give money to watch an MST3K-type show featuring Laker Girl watching movies you know she'd hate? :D

It insults my intelligence and the special effects were L-A-M-E.

Nevermind the impossibility of a 25 ft. ape but like he could carry a woman around in his paw while hauling ass through the jungle and not absolutely crush her. Now I do believe there is an island somewhere where scarey, ragged toothed people live but gigantic bugs, PUH-LEEEZ. And believe me, I've seen flies the size of small dogs while in Florida.

I was bored with the movie and could have lived without the fifty billion times Naomi Watts looks longingly at Kong and Kong looks longingly at her, that was just stupid.

And I couldn't help but think that after all the distruction Kong caused to NYC, was the dude that brought him there going to be fined? Then again, the 30's were a different time.

Lastly, the movie should simply be called "Kong", he was never referred to as "King" of anything.

You say this as if you expected "King Kong" to be some sort of real life documentry. ;) But if you want to speak of the "realism" of the movie-I was just amazed at the energy the girl had after being stuck in the jungle-and having nothing to eat. (or at least they didn't show her or the other crew members eating)
I actually enjoyed the movie-the beginning and end were a little drawn out for me but I did enjoy the special effects.
I am looking forward to Peter Jackson producing the Halo movie. I am sure no matter what-the movie will be a tad bit "hokey" as most video game movies go-but I have high hopes for it. We'll see.

Yeah, and back in my day movies were SILENT! We didn't need all that talkie crap and noise, we just liked watching things! We made the dialogue up in our heads, because we had something called an imagination and we couldn't read the subtitles because we were illiterate! AND WE LIKED IT THAT WAY!
