I downloaded Fuddlemiffs game last night

It's very cool, bit of an odd interface - still working out what buttons to push.

It is very similar to one of my favourite games on the BBC Micro called "Elite" I used to play it for hours. Obviously it's a bit better than this:

I am also a bit shite at it of course. I rocked Jesus' waxed ballsacks when I played Elite.

I loved elite, where can I find this game?

You have to turn sigs on and it's in Fuddlemiffs signature. It's a Viper game based on BSG.

Like I said, it's briefing and talking interface is very clunky - but the game itself is pure Elite. I suspect it would be much easier with a joystick, I also imagine it will suck up time like an er.. big time hoover.

Well, Elite is one of the most famous games ever created. It's a cult classic and has been desperatley copied and rarely outdone.

Can you play as Colonel Tigh, get drunk and be responsible for the deaths of 80 of your own men due to incompetence?

The tab button pulls a twitchy face on the pilot.

If you press too many buttons at once you find yourself with your pants down in public having sex with a table.

It's based on the Freespace 2 engine. The original Freespace is one of the best space sims EVER and one of my fave games.

The BSG version is still in its early stages, there's only a demo so far, but it's very faithful to the series.

The more you play, the better your aim gets and the controls don't seem so clunky(I didn't like them at first either).
