My sister and dad live in OKC and they had a terrible ice storm. I guess you are in part of the same storm system. I loved the weather out there.. you never knew what was coming.

We haven't gotten hit with the ice storms yet, but I have tons of family in the OKC area. My uncle and his family in Choctaw have been without power yesterday morning. At least they've got a fireplace.

Well that explains why I like you and Cassie so much we all have loads of family in OKC. My mom was born in OKC and grew up in Midwest City.

Anyway, sorry about the headache I hope you're better today. I myself have a cold but I'm using the Zycam so we'll see what happens.

Woohoo.. Okies everywhere. I love OKC.. IMO it's just the right combination of big city and small town depending on where you are. I was born on the south side..err farther south than what is actually referred to as the south side, closer to Moore.

My mom was not an Okie and dragged me and my sister down here to the swamps after the divorce.

The ice storm went just south of us. We got tons of rain and the trees iced up - that's about it.

And I've got Tulsa, Harrah, Welston, Locust Grove. And I got love for Sepulpa. Gods, those Virginians didn't know what to make of me. Bad enough I say fixing, but when I add T's to the end of words that end in N...well, it wasn't pretty. And ignorant can be said in two syllables.

Heh. Headache is better, though. LAkers, I tried that Zycam before. Didn't do shit for me. Hope it does better for you.

And I listen to classical music even when I don't have a headache, so that doesn't really work, Chris.

Aaaaah the Sooners. My dad went to OU for a few semesters after he married my mom and while he was still in the Air Force. My parents met at Tinker, how romantic huh? So anyway, whenever they'd air Sooners games out here when I was a kid it'd be a huge deal. We'd have a southern meal and cheer on mom's hometown team.

And Cassie, my uncle lives in Moore. He's old as hell and I don't know him very well but I know he lives in Moore.

My favorite place in OK is on Lake Tinkiller. My grandparents had a house there and we spent many a happy summer on that lake. Fishing for catfish and inevitably losing a shoe in the lake, it was so great.

I love Eastern OK.. I got into some serious trouble out in that area, lol.

I like Draper Lake, because you can find rose rocks.. can't swim in it though. It's a water supply for the city. Kinda stupid that you can boat in it, but not swim.

It didn't. So far all the Zycam has done is make my nose bleed and my nostrils itch. The cold is bigger and badder than ever.

I'm going back to Cold-Eez, it's like sucking on a penny but it works every time.
