Note to self, if the pound shops have them, its because they didnt sell in toys r us, and if they didnt sell there, people just dont want them.

Oh well, if I stick them in the attic for the next few years they might be worth something eventually.
 
what kind of toys do you look at as investments? I just buy toys for kids to play with.

so action figures/ comic book figures would be the kind of thing to consider for investments? What about those LOTR moveable figurines? I bought Legolas for my son - it had little arrows to go with the bow and a small dagger, IIRC,; kinda reminded me of those little PLAYMOBILE figures you could buy with the neat accessories and the kids would actually use their imaginations when they played.
 
Since I see 100s of LOTR toys in the poundshops, I am thinking those arent great investments either.

And the Buffy and angel figures I picked up, also not doing well.

You would think with all the vocal fans of the Wheldonverse they would be clamering for Cordelia in her chain bikini, or Dawn, or Wesley with his weapons cabinet, but NOooooooooo
 
Now, THOSE I haven't seen in smallsville here....interesting. Have they made a doll for everything?!
 
I wish I had never opened any of my Star Wars figures. Or eaten them.

For star wars they certainly have, now that they already have a doll for every character in all six star wars movies, they have moved onto EU characters, pre production drawing concept characters, and even deleted scene characters.

Coming soon this year, Han, Liea, Lando, Chewie, and Luke in ROTJ sandstorm costumes AKA, their normal costumes, but with scarves, plus chewie has a bandage on his leg.

No, Im not kidding

Like a Chewie's Family four pack or a Saun Dann figure OR AN GORMAANDA FIGURE WITH STIR WHIP STIR STIR ACTION!

I often stand in front of the Star Wars figures in Forbidden Planet just shaking my head. I wonder how many fans actually have every single figure?
 
I'm pretty sure that there must be people somewhere who can act out every since of all six films, comeplte with every background extra in their correct positions.


...if only they took the figures out of the packaging...
 
Ah, well that's why they buy two of each!
 
They have cartoon Boba Fett from the holiday special, the wookie family cant be far behind, especially since they have gone onto other EU stories.

We might need to wait for Bea Arthur to die before we get her barmaid figure though.
 
I already have Animated Debut Boba Fett, though!!
 
Maybe you could print out a picture of Bea Arthur, glue it onto strong cardboard, and then cut it out carefully.
 
Or sculpt breasts and a apron onto a Chewbacca figure.
