Well there's mystical stuff going on so the car could have been "cloaked" or something. And they don't usually go running around in the jungle because of the MONSTER. In the episode, wasn't Hurley led to the van by Vincent (the dog)? Some people think Vincent is a manifestation of the smoke monster.

Vincent was Walt's dog before he got on the plane, but if he died in the crash the island could have created him, like it did Jack's dad.

LOL.. it's just funny that you are so angry at the show, since you don't watch it. It's not stupid, and I don't think it's magical. I think the strange things are due to some scientific studies into the earth's magnetic field. It's science fiction, but it's not set in the future. I don't know where you get your Lost information from but you need to fire whoever it is. So.. the main problem you have with the show is that it's on an island? It's a big island.. big as Hawaii even.
