Don't get one in Hollywood proper; they're way overpriced (more so than the rest of LA, even) and the area itself is an awful tourist trap. Head over west a few miles and Santa Monica/Westwood aren't bad. North Hollywood is nearby too, but like the rest of the valley, fucking sucks.
