I liked Jackson's version of King Kong for one reason:

I thought Jackson wasn't doing The Hobbit because of some bs that I can't remember. Personally, I think he would be THE choice of director for the movie. The LotR movies were spectacular, and it was obvious he loved the books, even if he strayed from them a bit.

I wish someone who loved Dune would be in charge of remaking that movie. Probably someone of Kevin J. Anderson's ilk will be in charge of it though :rwmad:
 
To be serious for a second.. Cassie, I think you are right, LotR was spectacular. I just don't like this "Sam" "Frodo" "Sam" "Frodo" bullshit in the last part, y'know? Those scenes were barely bearable in the book, and they were made worse in the movie. IMO.

And Chekov seems to be Eastern European.

Babe! Chekov is as Russian as they get, and that is a loooong way from Europe, even from Eastern Europe ;) :D

Yeah, I kept waiting for Sam to do Frodo in the bobo but other than that the movies were so fun to watch.
 
Maybe if they would have made The Hobbit first, my intrest would have been up.
