I need some good movie recommendations!

I liked the Bourne Supremacy, but thought Bourne Identity was better. I didn't like the killing off of Franke Potante's character, and the car chase at the end, while very exciting, had me thinking, "Why the hell didn't the airbags go off like a hundred times?!?" The one dude was driving a $90,000 Mercedes SUV, and the airbags didn't go off? Took me right out of the moment.

Yeah, it was a shame to kill her off so early, she had a lot more potential(as a source of exposition, if nothing else!). But they needed something to instigate the action since the previous film finished with a "and they lived happily ever after" ending.

Eggsy, have you actually watched Bad Education? I'm a huge fan of Almodovar, but somehow missed this.
I have watched it, I liked it a lot but it's not everyone's cup of tea. If you like movies about angsty movie stars, and/or movies about kiddy-fiddling/smacking priests, than jump right in.

More foriegn films to watch:

City of God (brazil)
Io Non Ho Paura (Italian for I am not afraid)
Rockers (Jamaica) This one's good if you like reggae music.

Closer to home:
Royal Tenenbaums
Leon: The Professional
Dr. Strangelove

Those are a few choice picks.

If you're interested in any musicals. I recently revisited "The Music Man".

Also another classic to watch, it's a bit on the feminine side, "Adams Rib".

Those are my reccomends.

I've seen that...from Netflix, actually. Heh.

One bizarre-ass movie.

Today I bought:

Little Miss Sunshine
The Guardian, I got to choose a free movie so I picked The Rock
Anchorman
A Scanner Darkly

^^Got "A Scanner Darkly" in my queue, I LOVE Linklater movies, and especially rotoscoping! You should DEFINITELY check out Linklater's "Waking Life", it's a rotoscoped meditation on dreams and life and death. Features a cameo from his characters in "Before Sunrise". In fact, that's why they all decided to shoot "Before Sunset".

I HATED Anchorman, though. The follow-up was unwatchable.

THE GUARDIAN? Really now, Cassie. *tsk!*

I remember watching "Anchorman" when it was released. I wasn't impressed by it either, and I think Will Ferrel is great usually. "Old School" was excellent.

Hmm, It's too early in the morning to think straight right now, but I will try and come up with some decent suggestions tomorrow.

The only part about Anchorman I found funny was the battle of the networks. That was hysterical. But other than that, it didn't do anything for me.

LOL, well I got The Guardian for my mom. It's really hard to pick out movies for her, because we have such different tastes. Did it suck balls? (it did come with a free movie!)

I just got done watching "Hard Candy" with Ellen Page. Very good, very disturbing film with two teriffic actors!
