I need some good movie recommendations!

Another good foreign one is Run Lola Run. And it's only 50 minutes long or something.

Anyone seen the original Russian Solaris? I quite like the remake, but I hear the original is far better.

I currently have "An Inconvenient Truth" but I told my wife she'd have to watch it while I'm at work, unless she agreed to buy a new HD tv, because I'd surely throw a brick through my current tv if I watched that utter shite.

Next up is "Cars" followed by "Crank".

Great flick.

The original may be more faithful to the book FAIK, but I hear it is fucking ennnnnndlessssssss. Over 3 hours long, and it makes 2001 A Space Odyssey, which it supposedly emulates, seem like an episode of "Futurama".

Oh. I find 2001 a bit boring because of its length(not saying it doesn't look amazing), so maybe I wouldn't like the Russian Solaris so much after all.

I'm going to watch Talladega Nights The Ballad of Ricky Bobby, in a few minutes.

I've seen that...from Netflix, actually. Heh.

One bizarre-ass movie.

Who could resist a recommendation like that?
However, I don't know who'd be watching it in this little burgh, but it was actually rented out on the weekend.

So it really is inconvenient.

Ok just watched Talladega Nights.. it was terrible, but I laughed a lot. Definitely worth renting but I'm glad I didn't pay to see it in the theater. The soundtrack kicks ass.

I'm gonna come at you like a spider monkey!

I also meant to say Closer is worth a watch, but most decidedly NOT to be watched with children in earshot, nevermind the same room. That girl that Menty likes is in it. ;)

I just watched Little Miss Sunshine. Wow, that was strange, but I liked it.

I loved the part where Olive was on stage looking like a regular cute kid and all teh other kids looked like dolls. It's true, America is full of wackos who think it's absolutely normal to make their kids dress up like hookers for trophies.

What's with the dude in the audience wearing the denim vest? I was wondering if he was a perv or if I missed the significance of him being there.

Lots of great lines in that. Not what I would call a comedy classic, but during that first dinner scene, and during just about any exchanges between Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly (especially the phone conversations), I was almost in tears laughing.

My next movie will be A Scanner Darkly. It just came in the mail, I hope it's good.
