I was in the US of A this week

Bleak.
 
not for the faint of heart, that's for sure!
Maybe it reminded them of Norway?
 
although, to be fair, there was a storm front heading in....it IS November, after all.
It's glorious when it's sunny.
 
Scotland isn't exactly a magical wonderland of colours either.
 
I think it's lovely.. I bet it's really beautiful when it's all covered in snow.
 
it really is - just make sure you've got snow tires on and yer good to go.
 
That last pic reminds me of my childhood when we'd go on "summer holidays" up north. Everybody else got to go to Disney World or Spain or something and I had to go there. :(

It was just a joke, and only about the name, really not soemthing to get that pissed over about, and I'm not a in-bread red neck, I do know its Canada. Also... why would I be expected to know its Rememberance day up there?

I thought it was Remembrance Day everywhere, that's why TK has the special image isn't it?
 
Well, we have Veterans day here in the states.

I was unaware it was also Rememerence day up in Canada (I don't keep track of Canadian holidays).
 
Tomorrow is Veterans Day in the US.

Cassie, I thought Armistice Day/Veterans Day/ Remembrance Day were all observed on Nov.11 at the 11th hour ?
 
I think they changed the date for observation.. something about govt holidays being on a Monday or something.
 
Yeah we officialy observ Veterans days on monday, but I know this weekend there have been parades.
 
Yesterday was the Marine Corps' Birthday, so it's a busy week.
