They definitely have 8 episodes ready to go:
Fox and ABC are taking different approaches with popular midseason entries. Eight episodes each are already in the can for Fox's "24" and ABC's "Lost," but Fox is keeping Jack Bauer on the sidelines until a full season can be done. The new "Lost" episodes begin airing Jan. 31, even though their creators have complained they'd prefer that ABC wait until all 16 were done before risking that viewers are left hanging.

I think I read something in the paper yesterday about the labor agreement between the studios and directors helping to end the writer's strike.. cause the directors are gonna get paid for internet content now.. SO MAYBE THERE'S HOPE FOR LOST AFTER ALL!!!

How does the directors getting more money make the writers less pissed off? Directors are already getting most of the critical acclaim and credit when a movie is well written, regardless of how well the film was actually directed. And just because they're getting paid for the internet stuff doesn't mean the writers will be. The studios would have to dip into their pockets twice.
 
NO, that's not it. The agreement will put pressure on the Writer's Guild or some such shit. I DON'T KNOW I READ IT YESTERDAY. Something about the writer's not getting a better deal than the directors. There are other unions involved in all of this and when they renew their contracts it's like they're not supporting the writer's in their strike, or something. Every union that signs a contract with the studios weakens the writer's position..possibly forcing them to compromise.

If the directors are getting paid for internet content then the studios excuse that they don't know how much money they make off the internet is basically bullshit. PAY THE WRITERS MOFOS!
 
why don't they just make tv shows without a scripte from now on PROBLEM SOLVEd

ther'es no point ever making another Big Brother since there will never be a better contenstant than EMilia UNLESS EMilia and Victor Ebuwa (not her brother) have babies but even then we'd have to wait 18 years for them to grow up.
 
There was a reality show called Kid Nation a few months ago, where they dropped a herd of children into a ghost town and had them set up a society. Nobody watched it, and most people in the press screamed OMG CHILD ABUSE????

I just assume when a show like that comes on that the producers and director are all pedos. It saves time.
