Me too, though it's confusing with tablets. They say wifi. Do they work like my smart phone? Or do they assume that I travel to a starbucks where they have free wifi.

If its wi fi only you can only use it somewhere where tehy have wi fi, do you have a wireless router at home for your pc?

A tablet will only work like a phone if it has a sim card, it will probably say 3G or 4G.

If it has a space for a sim, maybe, but depending on your contract you could use up your internet allowence pretty fast.
