I'd much rather watch Revenge of the Sith than Return of the King

Still haven't seen that Sith movie. I probably never will.
 
Both are movies I wish I liked enough to watch more than once (neither does it for me that way).

Not much they could do about that. If they changed it, JK Rowling would have put them all in the full-scale Azkaban prison she had built on her estate.

Why all the hate for the new Harry Potter? Looks awesome to me. Can't wait.
 
I have read most of the Worst Witch books (if that's what you're talking about DP) and while there are some major similarities in setting I don't think Rowlings work equates to plagiarism.

Major influences yes but not plagiarism.

Yeah, I think I'll watch that Potter movie. Looks really good.

I didn't mean JUST that. There's the Original Books of Magic DC series by Neil Gaimen, and a fairly extensive list I don't really want to go over again.

Plus also, my first comment today was mostly in ref to Star Wars/LOTR ;)
 
I meant the ending is changed from the book so that it sucks (taking out the big battle, no funeral for Dumbledor, his death changed) but it was months ago I read the review and can't remembe the details.

Have you noticed how the actress they cast to play Harry's mother in all the movies looks a lot like Ginny? I always thought that was interesting. Which probably means that it was a complete accident on their part and there's nothing to read into it...

Yeah, they had to change a lot. Amazon said they wouldn't sell the DVDs if Dumbledore was still gay.

Srs, I'd forgotten about the no big battle and no funeral spoilers. Maybe with ALL THE TIME THEY'VE HAD not releasing this movie, they did some reshoots or something.

In any case, I am determined not to be disappointed in this before I even see it. The ending of HP5 was abrupt too but I still liked the movie overall. It is what it is, and they all could have been a lot worse.
 
I saw this trailer on the bigscreen watching Monsters vs. Aliens 3d over the weekend. Jealous?
 
we can say all the same things over again about how movie versions of books never amount to shite, but if all of the important scenes are rendered well i think it will be a smashing film - i mean, half-blood prince is prolly my fav of the seven books... there's much more darkness to come, however. and lots of sitting in a tent in the woods. and bitching at ron.
 
Emma Watson is pretty.
