I need help. I am going to see my girlfriend tomorrow and I still haven't finished her painting. I did the background weeks ago and I can't decide what else to do. Usually I just start painting and something eventually comes to me, but I'm...paralyzed with fear that it's not going to be good enough. I have sat and stared at it countless hours and I just. can't. decide. Every time I try I end up getting sidetracked...I focus on the feeling I want her to get when she sees it, and I can't translate it into anything on canvas.
Ideas I've had and rejected so far:
some kind of symbol for love...there were a couple celtic symbols that were kinda pretty, but.....I dunno. Too...??? too something.
a picture of us kissing...maybe a silhouette. I have a picture I could use as a guide, but I'm not very good at painting people, so there's a decent chance I'll completely fuck it up and I'm out of red paint, so I can't fix the background without buying more paint and I leave early tomorrow morning and AGH!!!!! *bong hit* whew.
a tree? It could be cool if I could get it asymetrical (sp?) and realistic looking....wouldn't be that hard to do, but what is that supposed to mean? um, thanks. a picture of a tree.
lyrics all over in pretty black letters. different songs, just random stuff that makes me think of her. and I'm back to square one. it's too.....something.

I know it's TK so I should expect some ideas like her getting fucked by a goat and whatnot, but somebody pretty please help me for real. I only have a few hours before bed and I need to finish the painting, dye my hair, pack, shave/exfoliate/generally make myself ready for my sexy girl. Thanks guys!!!
