Now I was going to say something along the lines of "Because most people don't know what it looks like."

Let's play a game. Identify the flags I present. Let's start with this one:

Flags, emblems, whatever.
 
If I had to make a guess I'd say it's Albanian since their nations symbol is a two headed bird. I'll see what Google sez.

I'd insert a comment about Israel there, but that would just be predictable.
 
easy, though a bit mean since it has 4 meanings :)

1) Used together with other flags it stands for the letter "Z" in the flag alphabet.
2) In combination with numerals it means "time" (UTC, to be precise)
3) Used as a single flag it indicates that you need someone to tug you, for example if your engine is broken.
4) On Fisherboarts it has yet another meaning: "I am shooting nets" (to warn others not to come too close and get entangled)
 
Actually, I only knew about "mean"-ing #1!
