If the world ends in 2012 what will you do?

well no, I was eating boiled peanuts and that made me think of boiled peanuts. probably no one else here has ever eaten them it's a hick thing
 
They're boiled in the shell and the shell stays hard, but the peanuts get a little soft. Really it depends on how fresh the peanuts are when you boil them, if you can get some that have just been picked they are the best, and they don't get mushy.
 
Oh yeah, you boil them with lots of salt. They're even good with all kinds of hot spices.. some people put meat and veggies in with them. You can't eat the shells though.

^this is exactly how my Chinese students were trying to tell me they eat their peanuts too. They said we only have roasted peanuts up here. I misunderstood them and thought they meant they ate them raw. Language barriers can be a pain.
 
I don't know if you can order them from the states from where you are, but I know you can order the canned ones online. These are the best canned one's because they're green when they boil them. Green just means they were fresh out of the ground and not allowed to dry out before being cooked.
