To be honest the only problem with the England squad is the players themselves and not with the management, they're just not interested in playing for England, we need new fresh young players who are willing to go out there and win because they want to make their country proud.

When Heskey was brought back thats when the tables turned because heskey actually wants England to win, Theo Walcott is a great footballer and I cant understand why he was not played every game instead of shitty old Lampard or Terry. Even Rooney is bad for England, he's too greedy on the ball and thus we never get enough shots on target from other players, Crouch is totally rubbish at kicking a ball and keeping it and relies on heading the ball which for the most part he either fails to do or gets a whistle blown for pushing other players down. Ferdinand is crap at defending, you hardly ever see the guy actually defending and for the most part he's just stood around all the time doing shit all and doesnt even bother running for the ball.

60% of the England squad needs replacing with new younger fresher players.

Players that should be kept or called up are:

Sol Campbell
Steven Gerrard
Emile Heskey
Joe Cole
Michael Owen
Aaron Lennon
Theo Walcott
David Beckham (as a last minute substitute)
David James (goaly)
Paul Robinson (goaly)

Players that definately need dropping are:

Wayne Rooney
Peter Crouch
Frank Lampard
John Terry
Rio Ferdinand
Gary Neville
Phil Neville
Ashley Cole (maybe)

Yeah, let's get rid of Rooney and Terry.

I am one of the few who think that Heskey should still have a 'potential' place in the national squad as a back-up due to his unselfish form of play and the way he lures defenders to make space for his strike partner to score. He can be a decider and has great influence on the pitch. But he's still kind of shit, really... :chris:

We need Cappello to convince Carragher to come back to the National team. And so say I.
