This is somewhat inspired by Loktar's recent vacation, so thanks to him for the motivation.

In truth, it's been a long time coming.

It's just not healthy for me to care about this board so much. I think about it, worry about it, an insane amount and it's just not good for me. I already have enough problems.

I also feel that me having last reply in so many threads is genuinely the reason why some people don't post much (or at all) anymore. I'm killing the Mine Field.

Please don't try to deny this. We all know it's true.

I just can't seem to stop myself from posting. I mean, look at my post count! It's insane. I need to break this habit and get away. I need to become a better person.

And there's my female celebrity obsession. I think everyone must agree that no sane mind could construct something like the Wacky Hot One Hundred. I need to get away from that, from those thoughts. Ending the top tens and FCOTD will be a good start.

I also no longer care that Menty doesn't want to talk to me anymore. It's his life. Obsessively posting Menty-baiting threads and bumping old threads is incredibly childish and not fair on him at all. He's been a great friend to me in the past and I'd like to remember him that way.

You've all been great friends, in fact. Above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you all. I'll see you again soon. Perhaps you could post in the Media Center if the Mine Field dies in my absence.

Well, hell's bells!

My post count is rather tiny compared to all the other long-time posters. I've left TK for months or even a year at a time and then, after a big sigh, came back to see if anything had changes (no). Going on vacation is a good thing. At least Loktar was missed and had multiple threads with gnashing teeth and lamentations.

Just before I was going to post a pos/karma to the Wackster's initial post, he says it's April Fools. Think of all the posts in Wacky's honor that are stillborn. We could have been dramatic for as long as it took to lure him back. Given us a purpose and a goal.

Well, onto the next drama. . .
 
If it were true, I think we could lure you back with sexy pix of Natalie, Olivia and Gillian.

And this sadly is what tipped me of that it was a lie/joke right away.:(

The day someone seriously is inspired/motivated by me for reals is the day I quit the internets forever.
 
What if we all stopped posting because we thought CaptainWacky was gone and then he came back because he was only kidding but no one was here?!?!
