What's weird about Lucy's rant up there is, the Nazis weren't anti-religious. And they despised Soviet Communism, obviously.

Yeah, they were heavily into paganism and the occult. Hitler was a member of the Society of Thule. They just weren't religious in the usual sense.

Many Nazis were also devout Christians. They even had the slogan "Gott mit Uns", which means "God is with us" on their belts.
 
The High Command was into a mix of both. If there were legends about it, they tried going after it.
