I am not trying to talk you into coming back. I'm just saying, the ones that post there enjoy it. It's light hearted and easy going.
Jack when you closed your board, I really missed it, because of that same reason. Your board had a good vibe, so now that it's gone, I feel that about Pickles board.
This is a good board too, I'm just new here and don't have a rapport with most of the posters. I suppose that will come in time.

I liked jack's board. And I too miss it. Pickle's board has nowhere near the same feel good vibe. Pickle's board light and easy going? You be straight trippin' boo.

It's just a fake board. WOTBB put it up in 5 minutes as part of her package for free and its 15 forums of one or two word thread responses.

Personally? I've had quite enough of that particular brand of bullshit.
The idea that it's become some sort of community is fine, if you like the idea of community being cloistered and under the thrall of Pickle? Pickle is essentially a fake. His idea of trolling is to ride the popularity bus of those he sees as getting all the attention. That's why I cut him off. He never contributed anything to RK but blather, and then when he was called on it, pulled out all the stops to destroy what little confidence I had in him to be a fun poster to troll with.
I mean, I liked my board too, great arcade but only 5 people posted there at any given time, and frankly, as far as "community" went, I felt sort of left out just using that as my vehicle for internet shenanigans. That plus the hackers that roam out there looking for boards like mine to "take over". Just not worth the headaches and hassle.

Besides, he's burned so many bridges the static alone wouldn't make Pickle a very happy camper here. He has at least three posters who hate him, and dozens more who could care less. Not a good mix when trying to be part of the community.

Yeah wotbb offered to set me up with my board too. I hardly have much of a RL as it is, I don't have time to be running my own board and post at 4 other boards(well 6 if I still posted at Pickles board and resumed posting at Dirk's board).

We're in agreement about that. When I had RK there were segments of it I really enjoyed (like the arcade and the radio segments I did) and the secret forum was fun first time around, but when it got to be like "badlands" I pulled the plug.
TK is my "home". At least here there IS "community".

I go where I like, and damn the politics or popular opinion. If I stayed away from everything somebody on the internet told me sucked, I'd cancel my service. At any given moment there are dozens of people saying TK sucks, and that's just posters who are already here.
Jack's right about one thing: traffic makes or breaks a messboard, not the quality of who goes there. TK at one point had so much crap going on it was like a constant annoying buzz, hard to follow. A lot of "major" traffic boards have the same problem. Nowadays it's settled down a lot, and the posters who remain are by and large people I enjoy hearing from if I don't always agree with them.
Smaller boards like Pickles can be fun if you like specific posters and your interests are similar. Having very briefly started a mausoleum disguised as a messboard (lol) I know what it's like to throw a party where nobody comes. It's why I made the effort to post actual topics at Jack's board, and at Shattered corpse, and at Pickle's. Mostly, I just like to take the opposite side for shits and giggles like Seph once popinted out.
If the conversation's good, I stay. If not, later for you. There's about 8 billion messboards out there, I'm pretty sure one of them will entertain me for a minute or two...
