You know how to make a basic analog switch? HMMM??!!??
You take one NMOS and one PMOS transistor, and tie their drain and source terminals together. You do that because an NMOS can pull its drain all the way down to the source, but not the other way around. The source will be pulled up to whatever the drain voltage is minus the gate threshold. A PMOS is the exact opposite way so you use them connected together.
Tie their gates together with an inverter and WHAMMO when you have a high votlage the NMOS is on, and when you have a low voltage the PMOS is on each allowing a true Logic LOW (0V) and Logic HIGH (5).
