Northern California, yes, that is a liberalfied and artsy and way, way, WAY too expensive. Although you can't really beat Napa Valley, gorgeous wine country, breath taking.

L.A. is most certainly not a shit hole, were you hanging out on skid row? L.A. is like all big cities, big, dirty and heavily populated but at least we have plenty of attractive people to look at.

I live in the I.E., better than over priced Orange County and homey, I love my area and especially my city.

San Diego is hands down AMAZING! Gorgeous, interesting and voted the healthiest city in the US for several years in a row now. Also the people of S.D. were voted the nations most attractive.

Cassie- The geezers won't be moving to CA, property is outrageously expensive, social security ain't going to pay for a house here!

And that's LA's problem in a nutshell. It doesn't care what kind of city is IS, it only cares what kind of city it LOOKS LIKE. No soul to it whatsoever. It truly is a massive soundstage masquerading as a city.
 
There's something to be said for dumb and pretty though.
