Lwaxanna was probably her worst role, I'd prefer to remember her as Number One, Nurse Chapel and her highly underrated job as the Computer Voice in every Trek ever.

I read about it in the paper this morning. I didn't know she was ill.. at least we'll have one more Star Trek to remember her by.

Lwaxanna was cheesy, but I loved it when she want after Picard. He should have thrown her a bone, AT THE VERY LEAST. First Spock, then Picard, the bastards.
 
I also did not know she was ill.

Picard was saving himself for Crusher. Picard should have just made Riker to stand in for him.

Yeah, Lwaxanna was my least favourite, but I liked all the others.
 
She was okay in the first DS9 she appeared in, where she showed Odo her wig.
 
She just seemed to be about to get married to someone inappropriate in every episode.

She wasn't involved with the voiceover in Andromeda, right?
 
No she just "found" the story lying around in her house
