By redirecting questions? I didn't get any clear sense of what her goals are for the next term, other than the usual "do the right thing" generic stuff. She claims to be against big government, great. But aren't "wiping out the lines between states" and increasing the legislative powers of the VP actually in support of a larger scope for the federal government? And I'm fine with her accomplishments, but emphasizing that she's just a normal person and doesn't know how Washington DC works doesn't impress me. We need a president who is exceptional, and who has capabilities above and beyond normal everyday people. We need someone who understands how Washington DC works. I also didn't like her portrayal of Wall Street as not the same as the American people. Last I heard, wall street was made up of Americans, and many people consider achieving success on wall street to be part of their own American dream.

Which debate were you watching, Dave? Biden actually answered the damn questions. The more I listened to Palin, the more I though she was a robot with a directive push the slogans like she was selling a used car. How she made it past mayor is a mystery to me. If [Please let the American people be smarter than this] McCain makes to the White House, you're gonna have a Stepford wife for a VP.

Biden may have answered questions, but he still lost the debate.
Were you actually able to stay awake and pay attention when he spoke? Biden had no energy, save a couple moments. Palin may be a twat, but she did good in the debate. A big part of the debate is not issues and content, but personality and how you deliver your message.
I was hopeing Biden would wipe the floor with Palin, trust me I do, I hate the woman, but he didn't. I kinda wounder if he was holding back, like he didn't want to make it look like he was beating up on the woman or something.
I really don't see how people can say Palin didn't kick Biden's ass and win the debate.

Palin didn't win the debate, she barely spoke coherently. YOU BETCHA! Her downhomey phrases and coming out asking Biden if she could call him Joe was a well rehearsed act. I was unimpressed with her, and very impressed with Biden. He didn't lose his temper, or stick his foot in his mouth once this time. He spoke clearly, and he made sense. Debates aren't supposed to be entertaining, they're supposed to be informative.
I found it interesting that Biden got Palin to agree on domestic partner's civil rights. I think she regretted it as soon as it was out of her mouth.
Biden played this one smartly. The public wouldn't have liked it if he attacked Palin directly, it was best that he went after McCain. Palin doesn't have a position on most things anyway, because she doesn't have a clue.
I hope the public doesn't buy her "good ol' gal" act.
