iPhone 6+ "Bend Test"

I think my relationship with iPhones will end with my current iPhone 5.

Unless I get the smaller iPhone 6 -- if it doesn't bend like that. I'm a savage with all my gadgets.

I don't understand the obsession with having thinner and thinner phones anyway. I like my 4S because it's relatively thick, sturdy and heavy enough that I can always feel whether it's in my pocket or not.
 
I don't get that either. It's for making phone calls and doing internet-y things, not cutting fucking cake with. I mean, it's nice if they're not brick thick, but the 4/4S was just right. Instead of making it into a wafer, they should have kept it 4S thick and used the space to cram in MOAR POWAH
 
Because everybody is envious of the king of the heap and wants to knock him off the peak. For the moment, that's Apple, so the haters are out with their loudest yowls on.
 
I have a mororola Razr, which has survived numerous drops to the floor, I wouldn't want a phone that thin I run the risk of getting a paper cut every time I reach in my pocket for it.

Yeah, I get the minority interest Saint, it's an extremely popular consumer good. I also get the king of the heap arguement. I struggle with the reason this is number 3 on a public service broadcast (BBC) but Sky News (Like our Fox I suppose?) is not covering it. There is a lot of shit going down at the moment and I struggle with this as any mild journalistic investigation shows you have to bend it like fuck to do any damage. So how is it still so high in the news?

I guess our BBC online news is a little skewed to mobile users.
 
I had a look and feel of the 6. The 6A forget about. It's too big for me. The 6 is too big for me too and I really didn't like how thin it is.

I had the 4, upgraded to the 5 and it's just too big for my hands and it does not fit in my pockets comfortably. I won't wear a Bat Belt. Silly.

I watched the Keynote Address for the 6 and I was quite impressed with the technology, but my husband broke 2 iPhone 4's by putting it in his back pocket and kneeling down. He's much more careful now, but if they broke that easily on the thicker phone, the 6 is downright fragile.

I won't update to iOS 8 for a few weeks yet. I like to monitor the Apple forums to see what gripes are going on about new OS's and phones. Maybe when the 6s comes out I'll give it a try. Dunno, I'ma play this 'by ear' for now.
 
What I want to know is, why the hell are people putting their phones in their PANTS pockets? And are they doing that without putting the phones in cases? Why not just go to the roof of a high-rise and throw the fuckin' thing over the rail if they're going to be that careless?
 
I always put my iphone in my pants til I get in the truck, then I put it in the handsfree thingie.

Otherwise I'll drop it.
 
I put it in my pants to avoid some asshole purse snatcher getting it if I get mugged. Usually in my front pocket. The 4 fit perfectly in there and comfortably. I use cases on all my phones as well.
 
If you were to get mugged, I think you'd be more worried about your money and identification than your phone. You do know those things basically have a cloud-based software equivalent to LoJack, right?

Yeah I know. I do NOT use the cloud. Don't trust it. They won't get far re money! I can lock that all down from my phone swiftly anyway. They can have the tampons.
 
I don't trust it exclusively, but when it comes to services (not storage), it's hard to beat as a backup system. By "backup" I mean that if I should come home one evening to find my apartment tossed and my computer gone, I can go right next door and use my neighbor's computer to find out where my computer ended up and get the cops there.
