Irrational FEARS

^actually that's not that irrational now, Seph...

it is irrational that i keep going up them, nearly killed myself bout a month ago.

yeah, that behaviour is irrational, not the fear of getting clouted again....
do they not make you wear hardhats at theses sites? It's against the law around here to be on a worksite without one.

^ That's what I was thinking. In my job I have to wear one at all times, even when I'm not on a ladder or under a house/in an attic.

yer same here but nothing ever happens to u till u take your hard hat off for two mins to rest or do something fidly then "POW" right in the kisser

comonly called sods law.

i stess fractured my skull last moth and got a bruised brain, had to have catscans and stuff they thought my brain was bleeding and stuff good times.

and im apparently still at risk from having a stroke.

They even made us wear them when we were striking the set at the Little Theatre - first time that's ever happened. Pressure from the insurance companies, I believe.

Sets can be dangerous places...

esp when you are up on ladders with crowbars, and someone behind the flat yer dismantling has a drill dismantling something on the other side..yeah I'm sure stuff has happened.

My life is just a series of irrational fears tied together with yarn.

But after 9/11 I decided that they weren't irrational anymore. For about 2 years they were all overtaken by a constant need to scan the skies, and look for unattended gym bags (and guys in turbans) on the subway. Also walking through Grand Central Station at a much brisker pace.

So I now have a fear pyramid, similar to the basic food groups.
