Is it okay to hate Ricky Gervais's fucking obnoxious hooting laugh?

CaptainWacky

I want to smell dark matter
Or will he just use the same "oh, that's the British, build someone up then tear them down, they don't want anyone to succeed in america!" line that he uses whenever he's criticised for anything the bastard?

The best thing about The Ricky Gervais Show was Karl Pilkington's interjections. The worst thing about The Ricky Gervais Show was Ricky Gervais laughing constantly. So yes, it's entirely justified to hate that ear piercing, irritating laugh.

Karl: How come black people are like black...and not like green or something.
Ricky: What was that?
Stephen: He's asking why black people are black and not green.
Ricky: He's asking...HOOT HOOT HOOT HOOOOO! A-HOOOO! HOOT!
Stephen: What is he like!
Ricky: Not green...AAH HAH HAH HAH HOOOT!

I hate how they always make fun of him when his ideas are way more imaginative and interesting than theirs. I mean, Extras was so formulaic it's a wonder it got through two series.

His laugh does get on my nerves sometimes. But I like his habit of deliberately drinking on camera (and even handing out beers to the audience) whenever he hosts an awards show in the US.

At no point in this thead did I say I dislike let alone hate Ricky Gervais, just his fucking obnoxious hooting laugh and it is my right to do so.

Not as good as the American remake.

I have retained this selection of Unparliamentary Expressions from the 2005 edition of the Society in Clerks-at-the-Table of Commonwealth Parliaments' newsletter:

Shut up and sit down
The minister’s word, in my view, is oftentimes questionable
The minister sounds like a fool—an absolute fool.
If ridicule could kill, the Member would be at death’s door right now
Bloody outrageous

I don't really like either version. I've been in those corporate environments, and I mostly find the humor more uncomfortable than hilarious.

Ghost Town was shit. Also I just saw him on Sesame Street. He was shit. He is shit. SHIT.
