Is it okay to hate Ricky Gervais's fucking obnoxious hooting laugh?

Is Gervais now a human Jar Jar? His face on that body with those ears wouldn't look out of place.
 
SO Gervais is being a dick again AND NO I'M NOT BEING ALL PC GONE MAD, he can't honestly say he thought mong just meant "div" when everyone fucking knows it refers to people with Down's and he actually POSTED PICTURES of himself pulling Down's faces, but instead of being honest (or even using the "oh, you're being PC!" defence) he's just gone back to "oooh, the haters are just jealous of my success" like that's the only possible explanation for anything.

Richard Herring tore him a new one, and it took a mutual friend in Robin Ince to make that die down.

Personally, I think language can change, and the overuse of a world can desensitise it. His reaction to the whole thing was beyond pathetic though.
 
I use the word mong quite a lot, but I can get away with it because I'm not famous and not expected to set any example. I think if I were famous and used a word like that and people got annoyed at me, I'd hold my hands up say "yeah, it's probably not really fair on people with Down's to use mong all the time to mean that someone's thick, and I'll try not to do it so much in future". Maybe this would be giving into PC GONE MAD, or maybe it's just the sensible, morally right thing to do, I'm not quite sure, but pulling Down's faces and sticking it on the internet is pretty inexcusable.
 
I really do love Idiot Abroad though. I can't help it, it's fucking great. It has got a BIT moany the last few episodes but overall it's quality.
 
I saw a clip of the midget village ep. Really have to download the second season eps and the ones from the first season I missed.
