I want to smell dark matter
It's starting here soon. Everyone on the internet says it's good and Anna Friel is hot. ON THE OTHER HAND, I don't really like cutesy shows and everyone also says it's the cutesiest thing since a kitten dressed up as an Ewok tryng to give a puppy dressed as Bungle Bear a Stone Cold Stunner. AND I FUCKING HATE THAT. So...tell me stuff.
 
I've only seen about 10 minutes of the first episode. I guess it's supposed to be a cutesier version of Six Feet Under/Dead Like Me. It seems to get good press, so maybe it's worth a look...

That kind of surrealism, with a SOUPÇON of Dead like Me.
Very quirky.

- and people who think it's cute have not gone beyond to the deeper darker depths!! It's a tragedy, fergawdsake!
 
p.s. the actors are cuter - looking than the other shows, but don't hold that against the show. Give it three eps.
 
Well yeah, that's why I was reticent to keep watching: this whole "touch of life/death" premise is easy to mishandle. I guess they're doing okay so far but it's SO HARD for me to add new shows to my cramped couch potato schedule...
 
I missed the whole thing.. but it probably comes on opposite something I HAVE to watch or it comes on at 8 and I hate getting into shows that start that early cause I'm usually still online or something.
 
I think it has aired Wednesdays at 8.
 
hmm.. so it's probably opposite Big Brother or American Idol. I don't always watch American Idol but my grandma does. EVERY REALITY SHOW :rwmad:

Watched it, was pretty good. The cuteness was a bit much at times and the voiceover guy got annoying (really don't need to know up to the second how old each character is, mate) but it was funny enough to get away with it. Anna Friel will feature in my next top ten.
 
I thought it was like a less interesting version of Amelie. When Love Soup came on on BBC1 I switched channels.
 
Bit harsh only watching half of the pilot episode! And Love Soup is for girls.

The first series is about two people who are blatantly matched for eachother, but don't know eachother. They both go through relationships with people who aren't right for them and usually end up in bizarre situations through misunderstandings and people taking advantage of their good natures.

It's a bit like One Foot in the Grave (written by the same person, I believe) in its humour. Last week the main character got arrested for attempting to murder the prime minister when a lip reader at a conference she got invited to thought she'd said "that cunt should die", but she said something about her coat. It's not for girls just because it has the word "love" in it!
 
I havent even seen bionic woman past the first episode, I have no time for this pushing daisies malarky
 
Well Bionic Women has already been cancelled for being shite so I wouldn't start watching it anyway.
 
Well I saw the first one and it was relentlessly depressing, I am hoping the second episode was better.
