Is Serenity any good?

fine! maybe I was disappointed about not seeing more Book- or finding out about his past!!
Also, I could've done with seeing Naked Nathan. or would that be Nathan Naked....

Yeah, Book shouldn't have died... I get the feeling that he didn't want to be in the movies too much...
 
Well if the series had continued Book would have been revealed as an ex blue sun operative, with all kinds of shady things in his past, enriching thurther an already rich character, whereas in the movie he was just a nice guy there to be killed to upset the other characters.
 
I was avoiding mentioning that he died...

They did pretty much tell us in the movie that he worked for Blue Sun, though didn't they? It would have been very interesting to see it all come out in the series and maybe watch as he helped the gang bring down the alliance.

I wish they'd make another Firefly TV series, I bet it would do well now... everyone is jumping on the sci fi bandwagon lately.

I hope I didn't rile her up at all. I agree that Serenity is a great movie, I just mentioned the Book thing because I was thinking about how I'd view it if I hadn't seen the series. I'm positive that I wouldn't have enjoyed it as much.
