It's COOOOOLD!

We're supposed to have record breaking lows this weekend but I'm already freezin'. I have the heat on but can't stand not having fresh air so I have my slider open a tad. I'm also wearing sweatshorts and a t-shirt, I could dress more appropriately I s'pose.

Should we talk about the weather
Should we talk about the government

Hovering around freezing, rain turning to sky chowder & freezing rain. Then it will drop to -40 C with windchill. We're fucked.

We're having a mild winter, although on the downside each day the wind reaches gale force strength.

I wish I were there, as I'm sure your headlights are on! ;)

It was cold here the last two days but today is beautiful. Have the windows open, it's at least 70 degrees right now.

It was a frosty 39 degrees this morning with a smattering of snow...Yes snow...In the desert...I wasn't happy about it either.

I went out when it was 115 outside surely I can go out tonight when it's 28.

You know what's funny? On Tuesday I was wearing pedal pushers, sandals, and a baby-t and now I have to layer up...What the hell with this weather, man?

A forecaster was saying that cold snaps like this are very dangerous in southern California because so. Californians are unprepared. We don't have the clothing for this weather or the know how to deal with extreme cold situations if we're stranded. Sounds like we're a bunch of idiots but it's not being idiotic, you have to live here to understand. I can't think of one clothing store in my area that carries the east coast's version of a winter coat, I'd have to special order one.

I have three "winter" coats ranging from mild frostbite to complete tundra popsiperson. Want one? Just bought two sets of cripons/spikes - one for the boots and one for the crutches (yes they make those). Damn you freezing rain!!!

Well it got down into the 30s night before last, so to me that is pretty cold. Otherwise I think anywhere in the 50s is a bit chilly. The weather has been really weird this year, we usually have a freeze or two (very brief) by now. So far I don't think we've gotten below 35.

You might find it funny, but the weather forecasters announced a wind chill advisory yesterday morning. I think it was only about 45 degrees.

I guess if you're not expecting that kind of weather, then anything under 50 is gross. Anything above 32 here is shorts weather. Our windchill advisory's mean don't stick your tongue to the lamp post, or our fav, "exposed skin may freeze within 5 minutes". It's not unusual to laugh at friends who have white blotches on their ears from fostbite. Makes 'em look like gnomes.

All you can do is celebrate it 6 months of the year. Tie on the skates, go out to the lake on a windy day, open your coat and go windsailing at about 25 mph. The cold does tend to freeze braincells, and hence, good judgement.

At 9am here, it is -21F.

Can't stand out in the wind too long - just a few minutes, before unprotected ears start to frost over. It's vicious.

The LCD speedometer displays all freeze over.

You guys in the mid-west are getting rocked with cold & ice storms I hear. Not a day to plug in the car, but to build a bonfire around it instead.
