It's COOOOOLD!

I love Marathon the best. Did you guys go to the bird sanctuary? I like places like that better than the overpriced amusement park-type places. I stayed at The Islander, which I loved.

I also went to John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park took the glass bottom boat ride... got a little seasick.

I didn't really care of Key West much either, but The Conch Republic restaurant is awesome. The sundown celebration was interesting for a few minutes but got tired of being asked for money.

^^Exactly. After the second day you're like, "Oh. Wow. A sunset."

Crabby Bill's was a great restaurant in Key West. Don't remember if I went to the Conch Republic. There's a GREAT little hole-in-the wall place called "B.O.'s Fish Wagon". AWESOME food. Much better than in Clearwater, which frankly doesn't have anything going for it besides Spring Training Baseball.

We also went on the glass-bottom boat ride, it was choppy seas and lots of people were chumming the water. Same thing happened on the 3 hour boat trip to the Dry Tortugas. Luckily, I never get seasick, I actually like a little motion to the ocean.

We didn't go to the bird sanctuary, we went to the "Sea Life" show. It was ok.

I think I went to all the attractions, some of them, especially the really expensive ones, were completely lame. In contrast the bird sanctuary was free and for some reason awesome.

I ate at so many different restaurants that I can't remember the names. Even found a little Italian restaurant that was terrific.

At 9am here, it is -21F.

Can't stand out in the wind too long - just a few minutes, before unprotected ears start to frost over. It's vicious.

The LCD speedometer displays all freeze over.

Don't lie!

It's 80 fucking degrees outside and you know it.

Only slightly cooler this morning, still supposed to be about 80 this afternoon. That cold front that caused all the trouble in the Midwest is supposed to move through, but I don't think it's going to be very cold here. Maybe down in the 40s for a few hours.

Very cold here and we got snow. Glad I won't have to shovel it after I move into my apartment this Saturday.

Still cold...Cold, cold, very cold...But I still keep my slider cracked, I need the fresh air.

My niece and nephew were sliding around on the ice at school this morning, THAT'S how cold it's been here at night.

Produce prices are going to be through the roof, we're all froze over and everything is coming up mushy.

I also need fresh air. When I had the 2 seer13 units installed, I asked for an air exchange with the outside.

Not only did the heating contractor look at me as if I were insane, but so did the plumber and my general.

I stood my ground until they relented. The heating contractor installed two exchangers that replace about 15% of the air recirculated through the house. With the heat going, we can have it toasty in here without it ever being stuffy.

they still think I'm insane. I suppose I'm getting 15% less efficiency out of the systems, but then, I'd be either suffering or cracking a window (which means reduced efficiency anyway).

I can't stand running the heater, it makes the air so dry. Probably because I'm so used to the humidity. The first time I went to Phoenix I thought my nose was going to bleed from the dryness.
