I actually enjoy her more recent work more, from Ray of Light on.

Except for American Life, which pretty much sucked. But the rest is quite accomplished stuff. The single "Ray of Light" was genius IMO.
 
I honestly don't think I've heard any of her new stuff. I don't listen to the radio very often, and when I do it's usually rock, lol.. I'M STUCK IN A 80S HAIR BAND TIME WARP.

I liked her like a virgin years because that was when MTV played videos and hers were on there all the time. I LOVED MTV when it was new.
 
Her new stuff is actually really good. Watch her Confessions tour & u will be blown away!! :)
 
I like a few of her songs, but she's a complete skank who laid the groundwork for Britney and Paris.

Nah, her Drowned World tour from 2001 is better. IMO!

No. Madonna started out as a pop singer/dancer/songwriter, and made her success that way. The other stuff she does is peripheral. She knows what her day job is.

Britney (and Christina and Justin and several others) started out as child/teen TV stars, and parlayed that into pop careers. Think Eddie Murphy, Jack Wagner, Patrick Swayze, Tina Yothers, Daniele Brisebois. Christina is the only one with an actual voice and some songwriting skills to back it up.

Paris is a sideshow freak, she cut a pop record because she was too rich for anyone to tell her she couldn't. She's Pia Zadora.
