ITT: Conchaga asks for tv show (and film) suggestions

Let's fuck some shit up
So, I've dug my way through the ENTIRE Trek and Stargate catalogs. When I say ENTIRE, I mean I even watched Trek's animated series and tried watching Stargate's toon version: Infinity (SUCKED!). Twin Peaks was orgasmically good. Angelo Badalamenti is a God. I'm 3 eps away from being caught up on Game of Thrones. Been following Metalocalypse (a true must for any metal/cartoon/dark comedy fans) and I'm sure it's finally winding down :(. Anyway, I've also caught up on Clone Wars, True Blood, Burn Notice, and a zillion other shows. Basically, what I'm asking is whether or not there are other shows I NEED to see. Mad Men is on the list and 24 as well, but I don't find them all that palatable. Revenge was fun for a while, but it's better with the gf in tow. Please, MF, you guys have awesome taste in tv and film. Is there anything I'm missing out on?

I hear that the reboot of The Newsroom is decent.

OK, now that I'm at a PC, and not on my iPhone, here's a better list of things I've checked off.

American Dad!; Family Guy; It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia; Robot Chicken; Doctor Who; Dexter; House M.D.; Sherlock (c2010); The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (c1984?); BSG; Caprica; The Walking Dead; Boardwalk Empire; Rome; Smallville (up to S05); and I'm probably forgetting a few.

Thought about finding copies of Alien Nation, Sliders; Merlin; Warehouse 13; Babylon 5; Space: Above and Beyond; Californication; Weeds; Rescue Me; and Samurai Jack. Any ones I should pay special attention to?

Babylon 5 was pretty good from what I've seen.

I think I've seen all of it, but it's been ages since I have.

A former roommate of mine was obsessed with the show and said that if I liked Trek and BSG, I'd like B5.

B5 was good with story arcs. If you like that in a show, and you like sci-fi, you should like B5.

One thing B5 did good was space battles, specificity with fighters.

From what I remember of BSG, it did good with that as well. I didn't get much into BSG (only saw two seasons) but I do remember that about the show.

TV: Lexx, Farscape, the IT crowd, Spaced.

Films: Silent Running, a boy and his dog, the wild bunch.

The last one isnt sci fi, but its damn good.

I, personally, love Warehouse 13 and Californication, gave up on Merlin after only a few episodes, and am completely hooked on Once upon a time.

Just my 2c ;)

Is this real life?
Spartacus: Blood and Sand, followed by Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, then Spartacus Vengeance. Me and Cassie love it.

Did you ever watch Jericho? It never really hit its stride, but the seven episode second season was pretty darn good and more than anything, it's the general concept of the show that makes it worthwhile, rather than most individual episodes.

Jericho was good for the few episodes I watched for the first season. The Spartacus movies I have not seen, so they're on the list now.

FYI, I've watched Farscape, too. Awesome show.

I went on a Scandinavian movie kick a while back; I can recommend Terribly Happy or The Bothersome Man if you'd like something dryly, darkly humorous or Oslo, August 31st if you're up for something that's just dark.
