There's still hope for Jericho!

It worked for DirecTV and NBC when it came to “Friday Night Lights,” why not between CBS and Comcast for “Jericho”?

Although nothing is set in stone, it appears that Comcast is interested in putting together a production deal that could keep the fan-favorite “Jericho” on for a third season by footing some of the bill, at least that’s what The New York Times is reporting.

Such a deal, if it were to happen (and that’s a big “if”), likely would focus on Comcast paying part of the show’s production cost in return for its right to air the show to its subscribers first. After that, it would air on the network. That is, if they follow a similar model to how DirecTV and NBC are producing 13 episodes of “Friday Night Lights.”

Don’t get too excited yet. Such discussions are still in very early stages, and it’s unclear whether they will be finalized. But if it does, it will mean some of “Jericho’s” most dedicated fans won’t have to worry about collecting tons of nuts again.

CBS cancelled “Jericho” last month after a seven-episode resurrection on the network that lost 3 million viewers. Many analysts and fans have blamed the scheduling as one of the main contributing factors to the audience loss, as the Tuesday 10 p.m. schedule eliminated some potential viewers, and a poor lead-in from reality show “Big Brother” didn’t help matters very much.

I remember someone suggesting this after the last episode and wondering if it could happen. I really hope it does. The new episodes were great and the ending even left the door open for more seasons (since they're still at war and Jericho's a mess). Here's hoping. :)

wot the heck is Jericho about?! Never seen even one of ep of it - it must be on on a night I have a class.
why do they always cancel good shows and keep drek like "Everybody Loves Raymond," or some such shite, airing for centuries?

God knows.. I hate Raymond.

Jericho's about a small town in America that gets cut off from the outside world when a nuke goes off in a nearby city. That's the first episode, anyway. After that it's about them surviving without outside help and trying to figure out what happened and who did it. It becomes apparent that more than one city was nuked and the future of the whole country hangs in the ballance.

Other than a few extra soapish episodes near the beginning of the series the show is great. If you get a chance to rent it or something you should! Plus Skeet Ulrich is cute.

Suddenly it occurred to me yesterday that the lawyer woman who lives with the ginger guy on the farm is Stadi from the Star Trek Voyager pilot. That's quite cool, going from a red shirt to a main cast member, even if the series did get canceled.

Tom Paris wanted her sex.

Jericho is still canceled :(

Maybe you should send Chris Jericho action figures to "the network".

I haven't watched enough of Jericho to be an expert, but from what I've actually seen, it's pretty good.

It is really good, but it's never coming back.

The way they left it in the finale, any new episodes would probably end up costing way more than the others did. Either that or find an excuse not to show a civil war.

They could have Jake wake up and the last episode was all a dream.
