Josh@EI=Bigot or Robl tears up EI

I just caught up on my EI reading. I couldn't stop laughing. Robl classifies us as being "of TK origin"

lol

ohhh, Rob. They will not permaban you because they don't want you collecting the bounty i posted

Thank god there's something going on somewhere else.

Come on Shatna. You didn't realize you were "of TK origin." did ya?? Check it on the next census.

I'm from Jersey, man. That's all I know.

Really?? What part of Jersey? I spend half my life in Philly and the other half in Jersey

Near Summit. Know the area?

I moved outta NJ 12 years ago but my family is still there.

That's up by Newark right?? I'm in south jersey a lot.

Yeah, more or less. When the landscape goes from crud-industrial to 'spensive suburbs, that's home.

Neat.

Joshie has made his opinion of TK'ers known and hasn't garnered a warning for doing so. For bringing in other boards business nor for talking about 'trolls'.

Their rules will never be applied fairly nor equally to all members. Some folks just will alway slide under the radar. Thats the true way of EI.

Word.

In for a penny, in for a pound

TPTB at EI are all old friends from Slip Stream Daze, or some other boards they all hung out during their halcyon days of yore. Kind of reminds me of that T.V. show "Friends" where the main characters hung out at Central Perk. Once they formed their core group, they just don't have the energy to allow very many newcomers into their clique because no one else can feel their pain or understand the longing for what was. Sure, they formed EI in hopes of recreating the past. Sure they allowed other people to join the board so long as these newcomers are kept at arm’s length and don’t try to take over.

Their bonds were forged by abandonment, rejection and betrayal. They have such an intense longing for what was and what they feel never will be again. That's why they keep returning to the past when trying to deal with the present. They keep rubbing that old wound that scarred over, but they won’t allow to heal. Like most people who need therapy, they just won’t acknowledge that they are holding the board hostage to their neurosis.

Periodically one of the “friends†will bring up the Lisa/Christian/Slip Stream/staff lounge break in, and use what happened all those years ago to justify why the board is run the way it is now, or why hyper vigilance is required for potential troll invasions. The depression is palpable.

When one of the “friends†does something untoward, the rest of them turn a blind eye. Occasionally, they will be forced to do something about one of their more vocal friends, but mostly they just indulge the miscreant. I believe this is why there is that vague feeling that there is an “A†list, and then there is everyone else. There is an acrylic shield surrounding the group and the rest of us are on the other side. It’s all very tiresome. Sometimes you just want to call up Dr. Phil and have him do a group intervention so these people can let go of the past and all that baggage.

Or allow a sick minded individual to play on those fears and tear the community apart through them. ;)

I agree with your analysis. Very much on the spot!

Interesting.

Damn, that was pretty heavy stuff, Enk.

I've been away, so I guess I missed a lot. But, damn, three month suspension is too much. Waaaaaay too much. Nothing can be said to them to overturn this or even just shorten it.

Three months? For what?
