I think you're muddling him up with that other thread of Centaur-dawn in the Buffy comic. Whedon is a writer, he has no input in the pencilling. That's mostly standard comic-book fare, ayway.

On the Image front I agree - Liefeld is terrible.

No, Whedon is an artist, Gagh. He may "write" too, but it's his art that pisses me off.
