Just because characters in a show think something is "God" doesnt' mean it is

Just because something is unknowable and unexplainable to humans (and cylons) doesn't necessary mean it's God and has anything to do with Jesus or Santa or anything and it possibly COULD be explained if you had enough seasons, possible explanations including A SUPER-EVOLVED SELF AWARE COMPUTER for example. So relax, Hambil.

what would jade say? eh?

Also just because they call this thing "God" doesn't mean it's the same Judeo-Christian God that gets INTENET ATHEISTS so angry for some reason.

I don't think they're annoyed because they think in-universe it's the Christian God, it's the fact that "the one true God" and Kara being a Jesus figure are strongly analogous of Christianity, which of course is the prevailing side in the mono/poly/atheist conflict throughout the series.

The first artificial life created on Kobol which managed to upload into the universe and was somehow responsible for the exodus from Kobol (since that was never explained) in its first attempt to end "the cycle".
