Sinless and Purrfect
In the traditional sense, I agree. The Badlands does need that extra line of defense every once in awhile though. The Badlands cannot be moderated. The very implication negates what the Badlands represents.
I never wanted to be mod. Partially for reasons youve mentioned, partially cuz Im lazy, and also because I cant bitch and whine to myself. Here's the problem as I see it: Anyone who mods the Badlands instantly becomes part of "the System" and corrupted. They lose their innocence, their voice, and they lose their way. They become that which they rail against. They become the PROBLEM, and not the SOLUTION.
I know, right?Elections?
You didnt have to be here all this time to see what the Badlands have become. Theres a freer Badlands with a better vibe at Bick's board. If you ever get curious, sign up there. Im not saying leave TK's Badlands. Im only suggesting a breath of fresh Badlands air.I see I have missed a lot during my self-imposed exile. (No, I never even lurked save the one or two times I might have posted one or two minor trifling things.)
Those sound like quitting words. Cant go home again? Fine. Build a home where you see fit. The cold clarity of real life isnt any less truer than when it was viewed with the eyes of innocence. Reclaim, reshape! And to call attention to the Badlands "waning" spirit, although valiant and appreciated, is also sad because we all know we can never go home again for that place never existed anyway. Not, really. And we have seen too much. We know too much now. And we have changed. Into pale ugly shades of our former brilliance. Just like the Badlands.
Was the puppet screaming in agony? Then its either magic or morphine keeping that puppet comfortable. How can you believe in magic and merriment when you have seen the fist all up in the puppet's ass?
