I saw the first 15 minutes of the first episode, I'll have to watch the rest.
It's gotten lousy ratings so far, so cherish it now while it's on.
Putting it on Sundays was a bad call, Ripley. It was supposed to replace ER on Thursdays, but ER was still doing well so they ordered extra episodes and banished Kings to Sundays, where it doesn't have a chance.
ER is done in a few weeks though, maybe they'll move it.
It's a retelling of the Bible tale of King David, and takes place in a fictional present-day US that is a monarchy instead of...whatever it is we have now.
It stars Ian "Deadwood" McShane as the King of America.
I love his voice!
I only caught the last half hour or so of it on Sunday - McShane's character seems to be a bad guy? he was all set to have an assassin take out some young cute dude who was seeing his mom off in a cab?
