I bought some Studio Ghibli titles and the lazy fatheads at Disney couldn't be bothered captioning the English version at all, instead they use the English subtitles for the Japanese version WHICH IS AT TIMES COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. How hard would it be Disney to take a little extra time and NOT SCREW AROUND?

It might not have been Disney but Madman who are responsible to Australian distribution....BUT I'M BLAMING DISNEY.

Anything anime -- you have to read all the pre-purchase details very carefully, and even after that you have to ask many questions befoer you can be sure you are getting what you want.

Because there is a large, arrogant army of anime nerds who insist that all anime needs to be seen in Japanese with English subtitles, and anyone who wants to watch it dubbed in English is a heretic, a witch, and someone who even these nerds wouldn't pick for dodgeball.

To all these elitist nerds I say FUCK YOU and GET A LIFE, and there is nothing wrong with wanting my anime in English. If the translation is awful, I will read these details before purchasing and make up my own mind. But do not make up my mind for me, you fat stubbly virgins. YEAH!

The English dub for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (and Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence) is really really good and I never even thought about listening to the Japanese audio.

But that's all the anime I watch.

My kids love the Studio Ghibli stuff and as a result my 11 year old has started reading about Japanese Culture in general.

Japanese Porn is better with subtitles though.
