I think, finally, that the impossible dream of Nimoy as Smaug is over, what with the movie currently being produced and Benedict Crumblebiscuit cast as Smaug (and the Necromancer...why does he have to voice two characters? WHY NOT GIVE ONE TO NIMOY YOU BIG HANDSOME POSHO.)

If only that YouTube video Menty had made for Nimoy as Smaug hadn't been deleted. Things might have been very different...

It's Bendict Cumberbatch who's doing Smaug and, for no apparent reason, is also voicing The Necromancer. Possibly because Treebeard and Gimli having the same voice angered Fuddlemiff so much (he mentioned it once) and Peter Jackson hates Fuddlemiff (he's mentioned this many times.) Of course you probably already know this or won't read this reply for four years!
