Lexicon Discussion Thread.

I was left off the list of Neighbours fans, despite my near continuous Ant Rapping in past weeks. And my EXTREMELY SUBTLE avatar.

And Russell Brand ought to get a mention, at the very least.

If anything!

FTW?? Covered already?

Neroon? Covered already?

Clang? Covered already??

All of these are TK global.

FTW I don't know.

Neroon, was a moderator at TrekBBS, IIRC.

The subsequent dual here was merely a lampoon of said person.

Clang, started when we could lock threads. It was a way of saying 'discussion over'

If there is a Neighbours entry, then there has to be a Big Brother entry. Nikki alone merits 2 paragraphs.

The US version's club was mostly just me, L_G, BDM and Conchaga.

Actually, something interesting has happened to the Mine Field over the last few months. With the influx of the new Mine Fielders, threads in the MF have become less and less cryptic. I remember when I first started posting there I needed an encyclopedia to decipher the hidden double entendre terms. Nowadays, the MF posts are very accessible and grammatically correct even. And there are a lot less of the UPPERCASE SYNDROME kicking around.

Both should require an entry then. Especially since they will be back when the new series starts.

I'm not touching that entry though. It's a lot of damn work.

"!" is a Tasvir thing.

No, it started when they finally took the minimum character post to one.

"!" was originally a Soma thing.

Soma patented the ! response. He also used various smiley faces. Mostly just

That's probably because this has become even more of a micro community with more and more people regularily posting. When Gagh, myself and Wacky were the only three kicking it on a regular basis it was a lot more cryptic.

For myself I post everything in here from blatant spam to reviews of movies and shows because I'm only really interested in talking to people down here about stuff 90% of the time.

Yeah, the Star Wars references are too many to count. Mostly sticking to C3PO, R2D2, Anakin, and of course Padme.

Also my huge screencap parodies should at least warrant a mention. Welcome to TBBS and The Fellowship of the Minefield come to mind.

Someone else can do them though. :D

Actually, depending on how deeply we want to take this mummification, we could have a gallery thread of all the on-the-fly custom art and memes we produce on a regular basis...I have a whole server's worth of stuff by myself...

"Me old........" responses should be covered as well.

Example:

Me old tin-plated cardboard fish plate.

TQ, Wacky and myself were using the "me old" responses endlessly at one point.

That is an excellent idea.

I have tons of stuff as well.

If anyone cares, my "RUBBER PANTS" comment comes from zim in the first episode of invader zim. He says, "BUT! Invader's blood marches through my veins like giant RADOACTIVE RUBBER PATNS!! The pants command me! Do not ignore my veins!"

The creator of this show also did a comic called "Johnny The Homicidal Maniac" From which there was a short strip in every book dedicated to a character known as Happy Noodle Boy. This gave rise to my nonsensical dual of the same name. I merely went around typing whatever the character said in the book. Though it wasn't a MF thing, the way in which HNB speaks is much like a MF mega rant like those of Gagh, Menty, Wacky, and Eggs.

One example.

Anyway, that's enough of nostalgiaville.
